And I have already been promoted to LtCol. That is pretty darn fast. Been working on it in the USMC for almost 16 years.

I have been playing Empires in Arms since 1987. Love it. Played the board game version of World in Flames a couple of times... Lost a girlfriend one year by playing trhough the long weekend over New Years in 91. Just as well.

All the best,

Thanks.

Where is the vacancy in game 4? I'd rather start small (say Spain or Turkey) than get thrown in the deep end.

I've looked at the game 4 boards, but couldn't finmd anything that gave me much idea of the progress of the game. Is that my misunderstanding or am I looking in the wrong places?

Each game has a filemanger board you can see the active turns going on in there, it can be quiet busy

Hi there adsarf

I see you are looking for a game.
And it is true, there is a vacancy in game four :) .

I am the host of that game, and our turkish player has announced his withdrawall.

If you want more information I can send you some. Send me your mail-address and I'll get back to you.

I must warn you tho', that game four has run into a problem using the latest patch - 1.05 - and are waiting for help from Marshall Ellis of Matrix Games. And considering the problems with that patch there is no telling, when he will have time to help us out. :(

But don't worry, game four will get going again...

Meanwhile I would like to tell you a little more about it. Plz send me that e-mail, right :D

PM here or my e-mail.

Hi there stone

Above post goes for you too.

And I should have added that game four - like I think all the games here - is run using a 24hour turn around. When your turn is up, you have 24hours to make your move. (Or the host will skip it or let AI play it).

To my experience this implys you will get to move from once a day to once a week, typically once in 2-3 days.

Plz. PM or e-mail me for info on game four.

hi folks,

i just registered here and am mainly interested in the pc game of empires in arms. i am living in berlin germany and am very interested in all kinds of boardgames with at least some strategic moments in them.
i signed up here in order to be able to find eia games for pbem easier.
i am currently in 2 games which have been started from the matrix forum. they are called:
alte garde
iron topsail
maybe there are some players from here in there as well who know me.
i am looking to find a new game but i am not used to how the games are handled here, my games so far use email and yahoogroups for playing.
i have around 10-15 games experience of face to face eia, but the pc game is somehow more influenced by eih and i have never played that, so that i am somehow not that used to those changes.
i hope that i can find a game, some usefull discussion and maybe someone who can explain to me how the games are played here?

thx and bye

hi Polarole
Yes I believe we have a opening in game four, go to the Game four forum there and PM or email "Eske2u" link there.
I beleive he is looking for a Turkey player.
The Game filemanager forum is where files are uploaded and downloaded only so go to the Game Four forum for players discussions

Hello gents.

Do you do AT?

I have been playing EiA for over a year, never completed a game due to program errors.

I will wait for them to get it together before I try that game again.
Playing Games in not to win or lose but to die well and have fun.
I am on my computer no less then 20 hours a week four days a week.

I am interested in playing all kinds of Games.
Hope to see you on the Field. :P

Hi everyone,

being new to the forum, here's my introduction :)

Hailing form Hamburg, Germany, I got hooked on EiA back in the 90s playing a game (later abandoned by general consensus) on the board. Now I discovered the PC version and am now finding the AI opponents...somewhat dull...

So I'd be happy to join a new or ongoing game to spice things up with intelligent opponents :)

Best Regards,
Gunnar

Hello all,

I played EiA quite a bit in the past and recently bought and downloaded the computer version. Once I get a handle on how it works, I will be looking to play some live players. This looked like a good spot to meet others who do the same and can help with the technical aspects involved.

I look forward to chatting and playing with everyone here.

Welcome aboard, at the moment we are trying to start a game (Game 7) please try that forum, as personnally I never played the board game and find it easier to learn from other experienced players in a multi player game, good gaming.
